Starting your first import
The basics of working with us and what you need before you begin.
To import goods in your own company's name, you need an IEC from DGFT along with GST registration.
If you do not have an IEC yet, our DDP service can still bring the goods to you — ask us which option suits your order.
Yes. Many of our clients are first-time importers. We explain each step in simple terms and handle the parts you are not familiar with.
Product photos or links, the quantity, your target price if you have one, and your delivery city in India. Specifications such as size, material and packaging help us quote more accurately.
Each factory sets its own MOQ. We look for suppliers that match your order size and can combine goods from several suppliers into one shipment, so smaller orders are possible too.
Yes. If you already have a supplier, we can take over from purchasing, inspection or shipping onwards — whatever you need.
Shipping, timelines and delivery
As a rough guide, sea shipments take about 25–40 days door to door and air shipments about 7–12 days. The exact time depends on the product, the port, the season and customs checks.
We share an expected timeline with your quote and keep you updated along the way.
DDP means one price covers everything: freight from China, customs clearance, import duty and GST. The goods are delivered to your address in India and you do not deal with customs or extra port charges.
Air is faster and suits small, urgent or high-value goods. Sea is much cheaper per kilo and suits larger or heavier orders. We suggest the best option for your shipment.
FCL (full container load) means a whole container is used for your goods. LCL (less than container load) means your goods share a container with others and you pay only for the space you use.
Yes. After customs clearance, goods can be delivered to most cities and towns in India. Delivery time and cost depend on the location.
Costs, quotes and payments
It depends on the product, quantity, shipping mode and services you need. Share your requirement and we will send a clear quote with a breakdown, with no hidden charges.
You can pay the supplier directly, or we can manage the payment for you as part of our purchasing service. Either way, you see the supplier invoice and the payment terms before anything is paid.
Pickup in China, export clearance, freight, import clearance in India, customs duty, GST and delivery to your address. Anything not included is listed clearly in the quote.
Samples are usually charged by the factory, along with courier costs. Some factories refund the sample cost when you place the bulk order.
Quality checks and customs
We arrange samples before bulk production and inspect the goods at the factory before they are loaded. You receive photos and an inspection report, and nothing ships until you approve it.
You decide. Usually the factory reworks or replaces the faulty goods and we re-check them. Sometimes a price reduction is agreed instead.
Some goods are restricted or need special approvals in India, such as BIS certification for certain electronics or licences for specific items. We check this before you order and tell you upfront what is needed.
We review why it is held, prepare the missing or corrected documents and follow up with customs until it is released. We also help with shipments that other companies handled.
